Merry Christmas!

Found this somewhere on the net earlier, and thought it was great since so many ppl tend to forget what Christmas is really about.

WHY JESUS IS GREATER THAN SANTA CLAUS

Santa lives at the North Pole.
JESUS is everywhere.

Santa rides in a sleigh.
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.

Santa comes but once a year.
JESUS is an ever present help.

Santa fills your stockings with goodies.
JESUS supplies all your needs.

Santa comes down your chimney uninvited.
JESUS stands at your door and knocks, and then enters your heart when invited.

You have to wait in line to see Santa.
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.

Santa lets you sit on his lap.
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.

Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, what's your name?"
JESUS knew your name before you did.

Not only does He know your name,
He knows your address too.
He knows your history and future and
He even knows how many hairs are on your head.

Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly.
JESUS has a heart full of love.

All Santa can offer is HO HO HO.
JESUS offers Health, Help and Hope.

Santa says "You better not cry."
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you."

Santa's little helpers make toys.
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.

Santa may make you chuckle but...
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.

While Santa puts gifts under your tree.
JESUS became our gift and died on the cross made from a tree.
Yes, from sin He sets us free!

Now thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift! [2 Corinthians 9:15]

But to each one of us was the grace given according to the measure of the gift of Christ. [Ephesians 4:7]

Goal for 2009

Lately, I've been going through a lot in my personal and spiritual life. Anybody that has known me personally over the years and knows my story, knows my life has been far from a walk in the park. I've had to endure things you couldn't even begin to imagine. I rarely share my story because I don't want people to feel sorry for me. As I've gotten older I realize I had to go through those things to get to where I am today, and be the person I am today. It's true when they say what doesn't kill you, will only make you stronger!

All that being said, this year I would love to start a non-profit organization for children who are going through what I went through. I'm praying that God will bless me so that I can be a blessing to these children!! Please keep me in your prayers.

ATL...shawty!!

so.. i moved to Atlanta from Cali about 6 months ago..here's what i've experienced so far:

1. traffic..traffic..and more traffic

2. ginormous potholes everywhere, and instead of fixing them they lay a metal board over them

3. people that can't talk, but have the nerve to say i talk too "proper"

4. people that take their sweet time doing any and everything

5. hot summers and freezing winters..there's hardly ever a "just rite" when it comes to this weather

6. you often see celebrities doing normal, everyday things...grocery shopping, pumping gas, driving down the street, etc

7. every dude loves women from Cali...hmmmm, wonder why

8. restaurants everywhere, you'll never go hungry in this city

9. politically, Atlanta is definitely not liberal in any way, shape or form

10. there's construction going on everywhere

11. you have to valet your car just about everywhere you go

12. you will be charged a $300 cover to get in the club if a celeb is chillin in there. (on top of whatever you have to pay valet that nite)....and the line will still be wrapped around the building

13. humidity from hell in the summertime

14. the bowling alley is like being @ the club

15. the dudes love their Polo gear

16. it's hard as hell to get a decent job in a city with 5 million ppl, so if ur planning on moving, have ur ish together b4 hand

17. i've never seen so many trees!

i'm sure i'll be adding to this list..but over all..Atlanta has been good to me..i've met some of the coolest, most down to earth people here..the nite life is crazy..there's just a good vibe in the air that i love :)
